Enabling Age Gate (Age Verification)

Our age gate feature allows an advertiser to verify an end user's age by entering their birthdate in MM/DD/YYYY format before joining a list.

NEVER allowed on our codes (even with age gate):
Sex, Hate, Firearms, Marijuana & CBD oil

The age gate message is the following: "Please provide us with your birthdate in MM/DD/YYYY format to proceed."

If the user is over 21 years of age, they will receive the opt-in message and be added unto a list.

If the user is under 21 years, they will receive the following message: "Sorry, you must be 21 years or older to join our text alerts."

If the user enters an invalid format, they will receive the following message: "You must reply with your birthdate in MM/DD/YYYY format to proceed, you replied with an invalid date"

Please note that applying Age Gate will override the requirements for double opt-in and custom "Reply Yes" messages.

Enabling Age Gate

1. Go to the advertiser dashboard and click on "Contacts":
   
   
   
   
   
2. Find your desired opt-in list and click on the three green dots to the right. From the pop-up menu, select "Edit":
   
   
   
   
   
3. In the Contact List Wizard, go to the Program Details section and select "Apply Age Gate."
   
   
   
   
   
4. Click "Save."
